In July-December of 2012, I worked to create the perfect espresso/cappuccino cup.  I continued this work in 2014, with the added element of colored glazing details.  Each cup is formed by pinching (not thrown on a wheel), so the result is unique. The cups are a special project of THE THING QUARTERLY and on display in their office in San Francisco where visitors have filled out surveys in an effort to supply vital information for making the perfect cup. Each cup is numbered and comes with a signed edition card in a "Perfect Cup" package.
